trusted care · neurodevelopmental therapy
about the practice
Aneta Vodvárková holds a master's in education with a specialisation in special pedagogy, and spent six years working in a special-needs preschool with children on the autism spectrum, with developmental language disorders, with ADHDAttention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder — a neurodevelopmental difference involving attention regulation, impulsivity, and motor activity., and with combined diagnoses. That kind of experience doesn't come from a textbook.
Today she runs her own practice in Prague, where she works with children individually, in a calm environment and at the pace that suits them. No crowds, no noise, no rushing. On weekends and during summer, she also organises outings and group activities — connecting fun with the development of social and communication skills in natural settings.
She works practically, playfully, with visual support and evidence-based methods. Family is part of the process — without working with parents, therapy has no lasting effect.

why we recommend it
Why Speciálně dětem is on our list — and why we return to Aneta with the kind of trust we don't give lightly in this field.
Before opening her own practice, Aneta spent six years on the front line — in a preschool where every day meant working with children on the autism spectrum, with developmental language disorder, with ADHD, with combined diagnoses. That's not training; that's deep, lived experience.
Master's in andragogy and educational management; bachelor's in special education; bachelor's in zoorehabilitation and animal-assisted activities. Plus a string of specialist certifications — NVSNeurovývojová stimulace (Czech) — set of exercises building on neurodevelopmental therapy, popularised by PhDr. Marja Volemanová's "Learning through movement" programme. under PhDr. Marja Volemanová, the Maxík programme, HYPO, sensory integration under PaedDr. Hrčová.
No template of “this helped someone else.” A plan built around the specific child — interests, pace, the way they take in the world. Playful, with visual support, practical.
Aneta doesn't take your child “for the hour” while you sit in the corridor. Working with the family is a condition, not a bonus — she communicates, explains, and makes sure you know what's happening and why.
Not a big hospital complex, not a waiting room of phones and fluorescent lights. A quiet environment where the child can focus on what they're doing, without sensory overload.
On weekends and through the summer, Aneta organises outings and group activities — connecting development of social and communication skills with natural settings outdoors. For some children, that's a breakthrough kind of experience.
I work from the belief that every child can succeed, if we create an environment where they feel safe, understood, and accepted.

best suited for
Aneta specialises in children from about 3 to 9 with neurodevelopmental differences. If you have a child with developmental language disorder, autism, ADHD or a combined diagnosis and you're within reach of Prague, this is one of the first places to look.
She works well as part of a wider team (speech therapist, occupational therapist, child psychiatrist) — connecting with other specialists on the family's team is a given.
what to watch for
A private practice in Prague means it's accessible mainly for Prague families and the surrounding area. If you're further out, a visit is possible but takes planning.
Specialist special-education care has limited capacity — waiting times can be longer. Worth reaching out earlier rather than at the urgent moment.
booking & contact
The initial consultation is the first step — you'll go through the child's needs together and agree on the next steps. Details on the Speciálně dětem website.
