about neurofriends

born from our own family.

Neurofriends grew out of years spent learning how to travel as parents of a child with developmental language disorder, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental differences. We had to figure out, slowly, what kind of places actually work — and we kept the list.

Out of that came two things. A community of families who meet up every year and don't have to explain anything to each other. And a quiet database of trusted neurofriendly destinations — hotels, apartments, and houses we've tried ourselves, and that work even when an “ordinary” holiday wouldn't.

These are the places we keep going back to — or the ones we'd happily come back to.

places that read between the lines.

Looking for a holiday with a neurodivergent child means reading between the lines of every hotel description. Here we've already done that for you — for each place, what worked, what to watch out for, who it suits.

how we choose

what we look at.

Sensory comfort,
space & privacy

Light, materials, surrounding noise, and the option to step away when it's all too much.

Staff
attitude

How they react when a child “steps outside” the norm — quietly, kindly, or not at all.

Accessibility

How far it is by car or plane, and how complicated the transfer is once you're there.

Safety

Fences, pools, balconies, the traffic situation — the small things that turn into big things.
